Envy went all out with the new AOS V5 decks and built a signature deck for each of their 7 pro team riders. Improving upon the AOS V4 was going to be a tall order but, as usual, Envy answered the call and created this awesome new pro scooter deck. Charles loves to cruise through the street or in the park, always FAST, finding fluent lines and adrenaline packed times. Envy puts quite a bit of thought and innovation into all of their products but the new AOSV5 deck may take the cake. Whether you ride street or park, Envy was thinking of you. With 2 sizes available, the 5.1 inch wide deck is light and nimble and better suited for the skate park and the 6 inch wide deck is great for the street due to its oversized dimensions and boxed ends. Remove the boxed ends from the 5.1 inch wide deck and you have a perfect park deck.
The AOSV5 signature deck is a pro scooter deck that Envy created for Will Scott, who rides pro in pro scooter competitions for Envy scooters. The AOS V5 pro scooter deck is 4.9" or 5.5" wide by 20.5" or 22" long, with an 84 degree headtube angle. Headtube angle affects a couple of things. The steep rake of the 5th generation of Envy's AOS deck makes it perfect for those riders who have mastered the single tail whip and are moving onto multiple whips. The steeper the headtube angle, the more the deck whips around a flat plane with less resistance. Because the deck has boxed ends, we consider the 5th generation of Envy's AOS deck to be a street deck but it's equally at home at the skatepark or in your hood. PRO SCOOTER DECKS that are 22-22.99" long will be ideal for intermediate to pro riders that have been in the sport for a while or for those scooter riders that need a little more footspace. The 5th generation of Envy's AOS deck works with the following wheel diameters: 100mm,110mm,115mm,120mm,125mm and the following wheel widths: 24mm,26mm. Note that decks typically come standard with 24mm spacers. If you change the wheel core width, you will also need to change your spacers to accomodate the new wheel core width.
