Eight years after inventing the world's first and best Standard Compression System (SCS), PROTO is proud to introduce the next generation of SCS. The Sentinel SCS is the most technically advanced Standard Compression System ever created. Coming in at 3.5 inches tall, it offers a full 2 inches of handlebar support to accommodate the taller bars we are seeing become more prominent which is over 30 percent more support than a 3 inch SCS. It also features larger 8mm bolts with 6mm allen drives and an offset slot providing 25 percent more threads for the new larger hardware to tighten into allowing for increased torque and decreased chance of stripping giving it the ability to stay tighter, longer than any other SCS on the market. To top it off, despite being half an inch taller, increased weight was not an issue with its tapered top and base and two cutouts that removed unnecessary material and weight. There is also a brand new feature called the Spreader Bolt which can be used opposite of the 4 main clamp bolts to open the clamp for easy installation and removal, totally eliminating the need for the penny trick. The SCS logo is placed symbolically as the third eye of the Sentinel in the center of a crown of thorns representing enlightenment and salvation from the ways of the past and guarding the future of scooter design.

Pro scooter parts can be tricky to purchase because you have to factor in compatibility with other parts. For instance, when you purchase the Proto Sentinel SCS Clamp, you need to purchase SCS SCOOTER BARS without a slit and SCS compatible forks. The Proto Sentinel SCS Clamp is an SCS compression system, which is simply the most effective compression system that money can buy, since it compresses the bars and forks independently. Other compression systems compress the bars on top of the forks, which simply is not nearly as effective as compressing them independently. SCOOTER COMPRESSION can be tricky to figure out but Proto makes it easy with the Proto Sentinel SCS Clamp. fits standard outer diameter bars ONLY with NO SLIT only, the Sentinel SCS Clamp Made from 6061 series aluminum. The Proto Sentinel SCS Clamp is 3.5 inches tall and raises bars approximately 1.5 - 2 inches. Includes SCS clamp with 4 bolts, compression cap, compression bolt/starnut.

The Proto Sentinel SCS Clamp is a standard SCS clamp and can only be used with standard outer diameter bars. The bottom half of Sentinel SCS Clamp compresses your forks and the top half compresses your bars, making it one of the most effective scooter compression systems. When using an SCS clamp, keep in mind that the SCS clamp can only be used with scooter bars without a slit and that the SCS will raise your bars 1.5 to 2 inches, depending on whether you purchase small or large SCS. At Smokin Scooters, we find that the SCS clamp is the most effective type of compression on the market. Because an SCS clamp compresses the forks and bars separately, it works better than other types of compression, such as ICS or HIC. SCS compression will provide much better bar compression than a clamp, which has to compress the bars and the forks at the same time, often yielding bar wobble over time. We have never had to tighten an SCS that we put on a customers scooter.
