The Root Invictus Afterburner pro scooter has evolved out of the popularity of the Root Afterburner bars and deck. Root has conquered the scooter scene since it arrived in the US several years ago. Ironically, Invictus means conquer in Latin and that's exactly what the Root Industries Invictus pro scooter does. Aimed at the beginner to intermediate park rider, the Invictus features a light weight park deck, 110mm AIR wheels, and Root's all new high modulus alloy bars. High modulus alloy is exclusive to Root Industries and claimed to be as light as aluminum but as strong as titanium, making the Invictus complete a true park freestyle scooter. One-off AIR wheels have been color matched to each of the Invictus models.
The Root Afterburner pro scooter is built around a 4.8" by 19.7" deck with an 82.5 degree headtube angle. Because the deck does not have boxed ends, we consider the Invictus Afterburner deck to be a park deck but it's equally at home at the skatepark or in your hood. PRO SCOOTER DECKS that are 19-19.99" long will be ideal for intermediate to pro riders that have been in the sport for a while or for those scooter riders that need a little more footspace. The Root Invictus Afterburner features oversized outer diameter Y-Bars that are 24" tall by 23" wide. Bars this size are ideal for riders who are 5 to 5.5 feet tall. Bars and forks are tied together via an IHC compression system, which is a favorite among pro scooter riders. Finally, the Root Invictus Afterburner rolls on 110mm x 30mm wheels, which are the most popular size among riders. Please note that the Root Invictus Afterburner wheels have 30mm polyurethane but a 24mm core. If you swap out wheels on this pro scooter and change the core width, you may need to purchase comparable deck/fork spacers.
